Dr. Baartman graduated from the University of Minnesota with a master’s degree and completed her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida. Her previous audiology experience includes a year at the VA hospital in Minneapolis, followed by 14 years as the Educational Audiologist serving nearly 30 school districts in Southwest Minnesota. In November of 2013, Dr. Baartman followed her passion to serve her community and became the owner and primary audiologist at the Hearing and Speech Center.

Dr. Baartman was born and raised on a farm near Minneota, Minnesota. She currently lives on her husband’s family farm near Ruthton. She and her husband, Greg Baartman, have three children: Alex, Eli, and Contessa. Dr. Baartman is keeping her hands and heart full with her grandsons, Aiden, James, Benson and Weston (and another baby coming July 2025…stay tuned to find out if it will be another boy or the first granddaughter)!

Dr. Baartman loves working with patients at the Hearing and Speech Center. She enjoys the ability to improve the lives and relationships of the people in her community.
